DLR and Thales Alenia Space teams were meeting in Munich to discuss the progress on EROSS SC. Before attending a demo in the DLR lab, both teams discussed:
- Enhancing robotic arm synchronisation: the team worked on defining algorithms and preparing the software for coordinating the robotic arm and the servicer satellite during critical space operations.
- Innovative software integration and validation method: they worked on the definition of a plan for integrating the real-time control of the robot arm into the servicer onboard computer, breaking new ground in space tech development.
- Looking ahead to 2025: and finally, they discussed the scope and preparation for a crucial ground demonstration in early 2025 to showcase the progress done in the capture phase.
