We're pleased to share a significant milestone reached during our recent meeting on the 26th of March with Thales Alenia Space
We focused on the critical role of the Robotic Visual Tracking and Servoing (RVTS) subsystem within our robotic operations. Much like the SVS for the servicer, RVTS is instrumental in achieving precise positioning through visual data analysis, including images and videos. Whether it involves locating the Client’s Launch Adaptor Ring, a dedicated handle, or a standard interface like Space USB, RVTS ensures accurate manipulation.
During the meeting, our discussions revolved around the meticulous validation of sensor choices, comprehensive review of the processing chain, and thorough assessment of performance within the global robotic functional chain. This session marked a pivotal step towards refining our strategies and advancing RVTS maturity. Our objective is clear: to elevate RVTS to a TRL 6 status by the conclusion of the EROSS SC project in March 2025.
Stay tuned as we continue to navigate towards significant breakthroughs in robotics innovation.
