The ASCEND project involves developing space-based data centers that minimize environmental impact and eliminate water usage for cooling. These centers promise to provide a sustainable and scalable solution to the growing data storage demands. The project is financially sustainable, with significant potential for ROI by 2050. Thanks to the support of the EROSS SC project, a demonstration is scheduled for 2026. 🚀
