As we look back on 2024, the EROSS SC project has made significant progress in advancing on-orbit servicing and space sustainability. Here's a recap of our key milestones:
🔹 June 2024: Strengthening Partnerships
- On 7 June, Thales Alenia Space and the German Aerospace Center (DLR), both integral partners of the EROSS SC consortium, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement marked a pivotal step in our collaboration, enhancing our joint efforts in pioneering sustainable space operations
🔹 October 2024: Showcasing at IAC 2024
- From 15 to 18 October, EROSS SC had a prominent presence at the International Astronautical Congress (IAC) 2024 in Milan. We unveiled an immersive AR/VR demonstration of the EROSS SC Mission, attracting a diverse audience eager to explore the future of on-orbit servicing.
- The event was further distinguished by the participation of Anthea Evelina Comellini, a rising star in European space exploration, who completed the EROSS SC Mission demo at the Thales Alenia Space booth.
🔹 Ongoing Collaborations and Presentations
- Throughout the year, our consortium partners actively contributed to various conferences and workshops, sharing insights on safety-critical software and innovative space systems integral to the EROSS SC project. Notably, SINTEF presented at the Ada-Europe conference in Lisbon, discussing safety-critical software in on-orbit servicing projects.
As we move forward, the EROSS SC consortium remains dedicated to advancing space technology and sustainability. We extend our gratitude to all partners and stakeholders for their unwavering support and collaboration.
