Stéphanie BEHAR LAFENETRE will be presenting during the Technical Session D3.2B: Coordination and Cooperation in Global Space Exploration, sharing key insights from the EROSS SC (European Robotic Orbital Support Services) project.
Date: 18/10/2024
Time: 10h15
Location: Turquoise Hall 1
Stéphanie will give a presentation on the EROSS projects, funded by the European Union. EROSS, coordinated by Thales Alenia Space with a core team from GMV in Spain and DLR in Germany, brings together 18 partners from 9 European countries. The focus is on developing and deploying European technologies for autonomous space operations, such as robotic rendezvous and servicing. Stéphanie will provide an overview of the technical progress, covering advancements in Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC), robotics and autonomy.
Additionally, she will discuss the operational concepts enabled by these technologies—ranging from satellite inspection, station-keeping and refuelling, to in-orbit repair and manufacturing. This session will showcase the future potential of European-led servicing and logistics applications in space.
